Painting of a pastoral lake scene.

"Artists of Cass County" are on display through September in the Middle Ground Gallery at the Five Wings Arts Council office in Staples. The Five Wings Arts Council is one of eleven regional arts councils in Minnesota. It serves as a granting organization and supports the work of artists in Cass, Crow Wing, Wadena, Morrison, and Todd Counties.

The Middle Ground Gallery, curated by the staff of Five Wings, invited Cass County artists to display their work in July, August, and September. Artists accepting the invitation include: Myra Damm, Linda Kieffer, Sharon Peterson, Tracy Frizzell, Ross Olson, Julia Jones, and Priscilla Smith. Watercolors, oils, graphite, wood, and beaded works are all represented in the display.

The exhibit can generally be seen during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. If you're traveling some distance, call toll-free 1-877-654-2166 to be sure the gallery is open.
