All Aboard!

There's something about the holidays and trains that go hand-in-hand. You can clearly see the connection in the current issue (November/December 2011) of Lake Country Journal—
• "Serendipity Station" highlights the activities and amenities available at the Northern Minnesota Railroad Heritage Association in Crosslake, Minnesota—a fun collection of history and histrionics for all ages.
• "Light Up the Lakes" includes a passage on the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, which annually lights up the Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, area.
